Affirmation: Listen to the whispers in your heart. Taking a break is for accomplishing a longer, better journey.
There’s also a saying that black cockatoo stands for the energy of empowerment, happiness and contentment. The power of spirit come into our life, a strengthening of our own spirit and soul.
Yellow-tailed black cockatoo, a large cockatoo native to Australia. It has a short crest on the top of its head. Its plumage is brownish black and it has prominent yellow cheek patches and a yellow tail band. Body feathers are edged with yellow giving a beautiful scalloped appearance.
The adult male has a black beak and pinkish-red eye-rings, and bone-coloured beak and grey eye-rings for the female.
I spotted this gorgeous during my visiting to Tasmania last summer with my family.
We have a lot of white cockatoos in our area but rarely a black one.
We spent quite some time with this little fellow, who was having his lunch before us, peaceful but powerful. It’s a calm and delightful scene to enjoy.
As if he was talking to me – Why so hurry? Let’s have lunch first! It’s good to slow down in a fast-paced world.
I captured the sight with my eyes and camera, it was a wonderful memory together with my family.
During the lock down, I found this photo I took last summer and captured this beautiful friend with my paint brushes, worked in my studio for quite sometimes and finally have it completed today.
I would like to share the beautiful moment with you, hope this artwork pass you good vibes too.
