Hello beautiful people! Wherever you are I hope you are all stay well.
Glad to be back to my blog post & greetings from my studio in Bayswater to you. Today I would like to share an insight with you before I start my painting session in studio. At the moment I am having the 238th artwork on the easel, the upcoming project is going to be HUGE. Yes, I’ve started a new project, a new challenge for the new year! So I realized that I haven’t talk about the affirmations that came along with my artworks. If I can be honest with you, the affirmations I have for every artwork are usually what I want to say to the viewer/ collector, or it may be something that I want to be told by others. I paint flowers to learn and to manifest, but when I paint animal, it’s normally a self-projection. I paint animal to meditate, and I hope the artwork comfort the viewer’s heart. So basically, you are looking into my heart, a dairy that I wrote with paint brushes when you look at my artworks. Noting too difficult, just the raw feelings sealed in every brush strokes. It’s about every day’s life, and I am sure some of you may related to some of them. Sometimes I got feedbacks from my collectors saying how their collections affect their daily life, and I couldn’t be happier to hear from them really. Do you have a favourite piece of mine? Either you’ve already own it or have been keep an eye on? Welcome to let me know if you do. :) Featured Artwork in the photo- Come A Little Bit Closer - Banksia Baxteri (2020) – Original artwork SOLD to a collector in Victoria, Australia.- 40.6 x 50.8 cm Acrylic on Canvas Affirmation – When in doubt, remember who you wanted to be. White Has All the Possibilities - Frutteto Roses green and pink (2021) By HSIN LIN Artist Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed at front and ready to hang. Artwork painted extend to all Side panels as photo shown. Comes with certificate of authenticity. 50.8 (W) x 61cm (H) x 3.5 cm (D) Affirmation: All the wonderful things in life begin in a simple moment and last an eternity. If you are familiar with my work, you may already know every year I spent several months studying one single object in my signature series - Bloom like flowers. Sometimes a single artwork can take over 6 months to complete depends on the size and how detailed it was. In this signature series of mine, flowers as the object represent life itself to me. Our own will to be alive, and the way we want to be alive. While I carefully paint these tiny flower petals, or built up those fine leaves’ vines, it is like the way we try to figure out those uncertainty, furthermore, to be able to be closer to the truth a little bit more. I started this particular artwork around October 2020 and it had been staying on my easel for several months. If you look close enough, each tiny petal was built up by multiple layers. The process wasn’t an easy task but It’s a challenge that I always enjoyed. It’s been a really long journey. I spent countless days studying those intricate details, sunny days and rainy days. This new variety of rose – Frutteto, is a light pink rose with light green exterior petals. The colour pink is often associated with appreciation, perfection and happiness. Pink elicits feelings of warmth, femininity, and love. Colours also have a psychological influence. From all the colours, green symbolizes nature and the natural world. It is often thought to represent tranquillity, good luck, and health. As for white, for me, white has all the possibilities. Bridal white, white canvas, a page of blank diary, and all the different colours enchanted on pure white petals with sunlight dance on it. The colour white symbolizing simplicity, a fresh start or a new beginning. I remember once my collector asked me a specific question on my solo exhibition years ago – What is the most difficult flower that you’ve ever paint? I thought for a while and answered honestly – Personally I think white flowers are the most difficult object to paint, because colours changed under the light. White flowers are not just in white. It is also one of the reasons I love about it. Precision and a lot of practice are needed to depict delicate details. This artwork is inspired by an amazing rose bouquet that I spotted in the local market. Completed in Melbourne, Victoria, 2021 – The year of a new beginning. If you would like to collect this particular artwork, original artwork & Limited-Edition Print on stretched Canvas & paper are now available. The Canvas option is also be the closest option to the original artwork if you are interested. I can assure you it is a real beauty you wouldn’t want to miss. :) I truly hope you enjoy this artwork like I do. Stay well wherever you are. Artist, HSIN LIN / H.Lin @helloinnerpeace #hsinlinart |
