{Award Update!!} Original Artwork – A Lifetime Grit (2021) has proudly received an award as the Highly Commended in The Victorian Artists Society WINTER SELECT EXHIBITION on July 2022.

How's everyone during this cold weather? Wherever you are, I hope you are all well, healthy and happy! In the 2nd blog post of July, I am back with great news for you! –
 
I am pleased and humbled to receive the Highly Commended Award for the original artwork –  'A Lifetime Grit, Eucalyptus Macrocarpa'(2021)!
This artwork is one of my (and collectors’ 😊) favourites that already has multiple prints established around Australia since it launched and I am pleased that this particular artwork has the judge’s love.
Much appreciated to the judge - Julia Ciccarone , as well as The Victorian Artists Society. This award means a lot.

This artwork was inspired by my visit to Royal Botanic Garden in Cranbourne. I was drawn immediately to this particular Eucalyptus macrocarpa tree in full bloom in the flowering season. I love the details on those large ovate grey leaves and the earthy tone on the plant. The rough surface of the gum nuts and the smooth silky texture of the flowers, display of greatest strength of life.
 
Eucalyptus Macrocarpa (Mottlecah), a sprawling mallee endemic to Western Australia. Eucalyptus flowers also have the symbolic meaning of Healing and Protection.
The flower always blooms in its own time without competing with other flowers. May we all bloom in our time in the best season. Hope you enjoy this artwork of mine.
